Synopsis

A young man - Victor - flies to Paris to join the family at the bedside of their father. But the old man behaves in the strangest way. Why is he trying to escape from the hosptal? Is he afraid of those who are looking after him? Has he simply gone mad? Perhaps. But, unlike the other family members who bicker over the future inheritance, Victor wants to know why. Why should his father be loosing his mind precisely this way? Why the fear? With time, Victor manages to gain the old man's trust and starts following his instructions. These, at first, seem rather absurd. He must call a phone number that turns out not to exist He starts looking for a man who, to Victor's dismay, appears to have been dead for years. He then secretly sneaks his father out of the hospital airy to find that the old man is unable to recognize the city where he spent his youth. When the family finds out about the stunt, new rules are set for the visits in order to prevent any further escapes" while, Victor, shattered, humiliated, is about to give up a search that seems pointless... Then, all of a sudden, everything starts making sense. Victor discovers that the madness of his father hides a terrible secret A secret that can scar them all forever.
