IDA Wins!

The Polish-Danish co-production IDA by Pawel Pawlikowski, big winner at the European Film Awards 2014, also won the EFA People's Choice Award!

The EFA People’s Choice Award is the award that allows film fans across Europe to elect their favourite European film. When the European Film Academy invites its members, Europe’s greatest film stars, directors, actors and actresses, to attend the European Film Awards, the People’s Choice Award sheds a spotlight on the people films are made for, the audience!

Winners in the past have included films like Pedro Almodóvar’s VOLVER, Roberto Benigni’s LA VITA E BELLA, Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s AMÉLIE, Fatih Akin’s HEAD-ON, and Danny Boyle’s SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE. In 2012, the EFA People's Choice Award went to HASTA LA VISTA by Geoffrey Enthoven from Belgium.

From 1 September to 31 October, film fans voted for their favourite film on this website and had the chance to win a trip to attend the 27th European Film Awards on Saturday, 13 December 2014 in Riga/Latvia, European Capital of Culture 2014.
