Das Parfüm – Die Geschichte eines Mörders

Germany, France, Spain

Synopsis

France 18th century: Jean Baptiste Grenouille - a genius, a monster, a murderer - notoriously obsessed with smell. Born with one sublime gift - an absolute sense of smell, he lives to detect any odor on earth. But he himself has no scent of his own. He apprentices himself to a prominent perfumer who teaches him the ancient art of extracting the scent from precious oils and herbs. Then one day he catches a hint of a scent that will drive him on an ever-more-terrifying quest to create the most powerful perfume of the world - made of the scent of thirteen beautiful young virgins.
