On the occasion of the European Capital of Culture year TALLINN 2011, this year’s 23rd European Film Awards - or 23. Euroopa Filmiauhinnad - will take place in the Estonian capital on the Baltic coast.
On the first weekend in December, Tallinn, with a medieval Old Town known around the world for its well-preserved completeness and authentic Hanseatic architecture, will welcome European filmmakers, EFA Members, nominees and winners, for the 23rd European Film Awards. Just a few minutes from the Old Town, the Awards Ceremony will take place at Solaris, a highly modern event venue, its grand hall seating up to 1830 guests, equipped with the most modern video, lighting and sound solutions.
The European Film Awards 2010 are presented by the European Film Academy e.V. and EFA Productions gGmbH with the support of European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011, Estonian Ministry of Culture, the City of Tallinn, Estonian Cultural Endowment, Enterprise Estonia, Estonian Public Broadcasting, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and BDG.
